About

Nayara Leite (b. 1989, she/her) is a Brazilian artist and writer based in Bergen, Norway.

She works at the intersection of text, performance, film, photography and installation. Through personal narratives, political discourse, and archival material, her practice is centred on portraying the lived realities of the LGBTQ+ community in Brazil, Norway, and beyond. Nayara is the founder of the publishing house Megafone Press, which combines activism with the written word and aims to amplify the voices of marginalised communities.
