Nayara Leite (b. 1989, she/her) is a Brazilian artist and writer based in Bergen, Norway.

Using personal narratives, political news, and archives as source material, she portrays the reality of the LGBTQ+ community in Brazil, Norway, and in a global context. More recently, she has incorporated intersectionality into her projects, drawing inspiration from liberation movements and activism, and responding to the times we are living in.

Nayara works primarily across text, performance, film, photography, and installation. As part of her artistic practice, she participates in various collaborative projects and artist duos.

Nayara holds an MFA from the Bergen Art Academy and an MA in Photojournalism & Documentary Photography from the London College of Communication.
